XPR-9-2P
Extended pixel resolution actuator
Optotune’s XPR-9-2P is a smallest extended pixel resolution actuator in the world that is also suitable for HMD applications. With a clear aperture of about 9mm it is designed for use with Texas Instrument’s 0.23” DMD and enables the image resolution to be doubled from its native qHD to 720P.
Main features:
- Fast transition times of typically 1ms
- Low acoustic noise of typically 17dBA at 30cm
- For framerate frequency at 50 & 60Hz
Further beam shifting applications
Beyond the use case at 50 or 60Hz in projectors, the XPR-9-2P can also be used in DC mode or calibrated to perform different shifting patterns.

- Cameras (super-resolution imaging)

XPR-20
Extended pixel resolution actuator
Optotune’s XPR-20 is an extended pixel resolution 4-position actuator. With a clear aperture of about 20mm, it is designed for use with Texas Instrument 0.47” DMD and compatible both with ECD and Pico chipsets.
Main features:
- High angular position accuracy of typically +/-<5%
- Fast transition times of typically <1.2 ms
- Low acoustic noise of typically <20 dBA at 30cm
- Fully pre-calibrated at 50 & 60Hz for temperatures up to 75°C

XPR-33
Extended pixel resolution actuator
Optotune’s XPR-33 is an extended pixel resolution 4-position actuator. With a clear aperture of about 33mm it is designed for use with Texas Instrument 0.65” DMD and enables the image resolution to be doubled from its native 1080P to 4k.
Main features:
- High angular position accuracy of typically +/-8%
- Fast transition times of typically 1.35 ms
- Low acoustic noise of typically <22dBA at 30cm
- Fully pre-calibrated at 50 & 60Hz for temperatures up to 75°C
